Ahmedabad: The annual flower show, organized by the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC), will commence tomorrow, i.e., on December 30, and continue until January 15 at the Sabarmati Riverfront Event Centre in the city.

Every year, millions of people visit the flower show. Similarly, this year, with an anticipated crowd, tickets are available both online and offline. Ten ticket windows are situated in the open field in front of the event center and another ten are under the Ellis Bridge. Additionally, five ticket windows are positioned towards the east end of the riverfront. However, those coming from the east will need to purchase a ticket to the Atal Bridge to gain entry to the flower show at the event center.

The entry fee is set at Rs 50 for individuals aged 12 and above from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays, the entry fee is Rs 75. More than 30 species of exotic flowers and over 15 lakh flower plants, including petunia, dianthus, chrysanthemum, vinca, gazania, begonia, anthurium, aster, impatiens, marigold, calendula, coleus, torenia, salvia, ornamental kale, succulent, and cactus plants, orchids, poinsettia, gerbera daisy, dahlia, gerbera, lilium, amaryllis, lily, etc., will attract visitors.

Eight private nursery stalls will offer flower plant seedlings for sale, and 21 stalls will sell pesticides, seeds, garden tools, and other items. Additionally, around 15 food courts related to food and drink will be available.

The event will showcase themed replicas such as Vadnagar Toran, an attractive entrance, the Vibrant Gujarat, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, New Parliament Building, Modhera Sun Temple, Butterflies, Seven Horses, Chandrayaan Three, and the Olympics. Each replica features distinct landscapes with flower beds. The civic body has also erected a 400-meter-long flower structure using over 7 lakh saplings of different flower species like Petunia.
