RMC to hold “Mayor Tamara Dware” Lok Darbars to hear and resolve issues faced by people in Rajkot

Rajkot: The Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) will hold a ward-wise Lok Darbar, “Mayor Tamara Dware,” starting on July 22 to hear and resolve public issues. The first season of such Lok Darbars will be from July 22 to August 13, 2024.

The first such Lok Darbar will be held in Ward 1 at Dharamnagar Co. Op. Housing Society on the 150 feet ring road from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The Deputy Commissioner, Engineer, and Ward Officer will be present in the Lok Darbar.

Rajkot Mayor Nayanaben Pedhadia announced this in a meeting with officials. The ward officer will coordinate the entire program. The event aims to address citizens’ suggestions, questions, and complaints on the spot.

RMC seeks to improve public works and resolve issues promptly. Issues related to policies, management, and all-round community development raised by citizens will be recorded and followed up regularly. The program includes a ward-wise committee of officials and employees to ensure efficient grievance redressal.

Officials present during the Lok Darbar will include the Zone Level Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, City Engineer, Medical Officer, Ward Engineer, Executive Engineer, Deputy Environmental Engineer, Manager, Deputy Medical Officer, S.I., and SSI.
