AMC to develop vertical green wall under metro and overbridge; tender floated

Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has floated a tender for the development of a vertical green wall under the metro and overbridge in the AMC area. The project will help in enhancing the city’s greenery and improve air quality.
The tender, seeks proposals for the supply and installation of roto molded U-shape modules, along with their maintenance for a year. The successful bidder will be responsible for fabricating and installing a rectangular cage structure, fixing the roto molded modules, and planting a variety of semi-shade plants.
The project includes a warranty of 10 years for the structure and roto molded modules, and one year for drip irrigation. The maintenance period covers various aspects, including feeding anti-fungus treatment, spraying pesticides, and replacing dead plants.
Interested contractors can submit their bids online. The total tender value for the project is Rs. 27,90,000.
As per the civic body, 8” Potted Plant Species such as Semi Shade Plant- Dwarf Areca Palm, Schefflera variegated, Pandanus, Jamiya Calsus, Alocassia, Spider Grass, Phylocelon, Agloneama Broad Leaves, Dracena, will be planted. DeshGujarat
