Gujarat BJP to hold protests at 41 locations against Rahul’s anti-reservation remark
September 26, 2024
Ahmedabad: The Gujarat state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be holding protests against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s anti-reservation remarks from 41 locations across the state. Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, at Georgetown University in the United States, stated that the Congress might consider “ending reservation when India is a fair place.”
Addressing the press conference, State President of the OBC Morcha of BJP and Rajya Sabha MP Mayank Nayak said, “While on foreign soil, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi commented on removing reservations. This remark has faced strong opposition from the entire ST, SC, and OBC communities across the state, as well as from the BJP. Protests will be organized at 41 locations throughout Gujarat in response to these comments.
State Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma said, “It has become a habit of this person to go on foreign soil, take photographs, make reels, and create chaos in India. In the 2024 election, the people who roamed with the red book, claiming they would save the Constitution, are now, after visiting foreign lands, trying to malign India. The reservation provided by Baba Saheb Ambedkar in the Constitution is being undermined by Rahul Gandhi and his family. From Nehru to Indira Gandhi, and even Rajiv Gandhi, they have all opposed reservations and have betrayed 140 crores of Indians. The Congress party is an anti-reservation party, and this has been evident to everyone through the media.”
“Rahul Gandhi talks about reservations, but the position of Congress chief is reserved for you (Rahul). No matter your performance, you will always be ahead for the position of Congress chief. Who has given you the right to keep your position reserved while trying to take away reservations meant for the poor and deprived? Every time Rahul Gandhi goes abroad, he makes anti-India remarks,” the Minister added. DeshGujarat
