Swaminarayan Monk Files Complaint Over Suspected Poisoning in Delivered Food

Surat: A Swaminarayan monk approached Kamrej police station suspecting poisoning or mixing of chemicals in his food in Kathodara area of Surat.
Kathorada based Swaminarayan monk Utsavpriyadas Devnandandas lives in Siddhi Vinayak society in house number 186. He is 35 years old. Four days ago, Swaminarayan monk Divya Swarupdas along with Pravin Godhat and Ramesh Suhagiya visited Yogi Chowk area of Surat to attend Satsang Sabha and returned home at 11.15 pm.
They spotted a box in kitchen, and asked about it to Pravin Kothiya, who replied that someone had delievered this box for distribution the items in it among monks. When box was opened, there were three Oranges in one plastic bag, one watermellon in another plastic bag and two pouches of Amul Gold milk in third plastic bag. The box had writting over it ‘Pujya saints, Premvati Mahila Mandal Gurukul’.
After an orange was consumed, the saint had pain in stomouch, joints and head. The monk was taken to doctor where he was treated and he is doing well now. When inquired whether the food items were sent from Premvati Mahila Mandal, those in Mandal denied and added that Mandal had no such tradition of sending gifts. DeshGujarat
