UPDATE: IMD has upgraded its forecast and declared orange alert now for the period upto 8.30 am on Monday. Earlier IMD had declared yellow alert for this period. A “Yellow” alert is issued for anticipated rainfall between 64.5mm and 115.5mm, while an Orange alert corresponds to expected rainfall ranging from 115.6 to 204.4mm in a day.

Vadodara: As Vishwamitri river’s water level at Kala Ghoda bridge in the city crossed 21 ft mark today(Sunday) evening, the question in the mind of the people of Vadodara is regarding the status of weather forecast by IMD for next two days for the city and district.

As per the latest IMD bulletin released today at noon, there’s yellow warning for parts of Central Gujarat including the districts of Vadodara, Kheda, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Narmada and Bharuch. Meaning there can be scattered heavy rainfall in the range of 64.5 to 115. mm during 29 September. For 30th September and 1st October Light to Moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at places in Panchmahal and Vadodara districts among others as per the IMD. After 2nd October 8.30 am, there’s no further forecast of rainfall for Vadodara city, district or for Panchmahal so far. 2nd and 3rd October shall be dry day as per IMD.
