Break-in at AAP Ahmedabad office; party alleges theft of important documents
November 04, 2024
Ahmedabad: An incident of theft involving a break-in at the Gujarat office of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has come to light. AAP State President Isudan Gadhvi, alleged today that important documents, as well as an LED TV, were stolen from his chambers on Sunday. Questioning the purpose of the break-in at a political party’s office, Gadhvi noted that three locks were broken by the intruders and demanded a probe into the matter.
The state office of the Aam Aadmi Party is located near Bata Chowk in the Navrangpura area off Ashram Road. A preliminary investigation was conducted by the police at the office last night, and the party will file a complaint for the registration of an FIR today.
AAP State President Isudan Gadhvi took to social media platform X, stating, “Forget the house of the Aam Aadmi; even the office of the Aam Aadmi Party isn’t safe in Gujarat. Yesterday, I received a call from the state office informing me that while the office team is on leave, the office was robbed after the lock was broken. This is a very serious matter. There should not be anything of great value in the Aam Aadmi Party’s office. Obviously, if there is no cash or gold, what would be the motive for theft? However, according to the information I received, the outer door of the office was broken, the inner door was also broken, and the conference room and my chamber, which had been locked from the outside, were breached. An LED TV and important documents are suspected to have been stolen.”
“In the office of the Aam Aadmi Party, we have documents related to future plans, including those concerning strategy formulation. Besides that, what else would be there? I have not yet reached the office, but according to the information I have, the LED TV is missing from my chamber. Additionally, some paperwork has also gone missing, and there are likely important documents among the stolen items. This is a very serious issue. No one is safe in Gujarat. No one knows where this BJP government will lead us. Think about it: what is happening when even the office and its documents are not secure? The Chief Minister should immediately hold a meeting and take serious action regarding this theft,” he added. DeshGujarat
