Polling for Vav assembly by-election on Nov. 13, result on Nov. 23; 3.10 lakh eligible voters

Gandhinagar: Voting will be held on November 13, 2024 for the by-election for the 07-Vav assembly seat in North Gujarat.
A total of ten (10) candidates are in fray in this by-poll after the process of verification and form withdrawal out of the total 21 candidates who originally filled nomination forms. The main fight is between BJP candidate Swarupji Thakor, Congress candidate Gulabsinh Rajput and suspended BJP rebel Mavjibhai Patel(Chaudhary). The seat has been with Congress for last two assembly elections with margin of thousands of votes.
3.10 lakh voters will exercise their franchise in this by elections. A total of 321 polling stations are located at 192 polling centers of 07-Vav Assembly Constituency.
Voting will be held from 07.00 am to 06.00 pm, for which 321 ballot units, 321 control units and 321 VVPATs will be used. A total of 1,412 officials/employees will be on duty at the polling stations.
There are 1,61,296 male voters, 1,49,478 female voters and 01 third gender voter – in total 3,10,775 voters in ths assembly seat. The result of Vav by-poll will be announced after the counting on November 23, 2024 along with the results of the State assemgly elections of Maharashtra and Jharkhand and several other assembly seat by-polls in various States.
