Burger King, Domino’s, Gwalia among 14 outlets sealed by AMC for waste violations

Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) Solid Waste Management Department sealed 14 establishments, including Burger King, Gwalia Sweets, and Domino’s, on Saturday for violating sanitation rules. Inspections in Sarkhej and Jodhpur wards revealed that several outlets were disposing of waste improperly and creating a public nuisance.
Authorities found 11 residential and 114 commercial units violating waste management norms, issuing notices to 125 units in total. A fine of ₹1.50 lakh was collected, and legal action was taken against businesses dumping garbage on public roads or dealing in banned plastic products.
Among the penalized establishments were Rajwadi Tea Stall, Gatrad Hotel, Shri Balaji Hotel, Mashri Good Luck, Gatral Tea & Pan Parlour, The Pan Studio, Burger Farm, Mr. D.I.Y., Domino’s Pizza, and Gwalia Sweets. DeshGujarat
