AMC to set up ‘Swimming Management Committee’
March 28, 2025
Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will set up a five-member Swimming Management Committee to address complaints related to its 20 swimming pools across seven zones of the city.
On the lines of the Garden Management Committee and School Management Committee, this new panel—comprising an official, a councillor, a senior citizen, and a female representative—will convene monthly to resolve issues raised by the 5,811 registered members.
Standing Committee Chairman Devang Dani stated that the committee will specifically handle concerns from women and senior citizens using AMC-managed pools. A local councillor will be part of the panel to ensure grievances are addressed efficiently. DeshGujarat
