Shri Swaminarayan Mandir – Cultural Center inaugurated in Tennessee, USA

Tennessee, USA: A cultural event unfolded in the United States with the inauguration of the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir – Cultural Center at Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The center, built under the guidance of Acharya Gyanmahodadhi Param Pujya Shri Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamishri Maharaj of Shri Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, aims to promote and disseminate Indian culture globally. The five-day spiritual and cultural celebration witnessed participation from thousands of devotees and dignitaries from both India and the U.S.
The festival featured an array of spiritual programs including Mahapuja, Rasotsav, Vishwashanti Yagya, Rangotsav, recitation of scriptures, cultural performances, grand Annakut, and ceremonial Aarti. The centerpiece of devotion, a massive Mantra Mandap, showcased crores of written Shri Swaminarayan Mahamantra. Dignitaries like Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti President Param Pujya Jagadguru Avichaldevacharyaji Maharaj, and several saintly figures conveyed their greetings.
Prominent local dignitaries including Rutherford County Mayor Joe Carr, State Representative Mike Sparks, and others lauded the temple’s message of peace and harmony, calling Hinduism a beacon of spiritual unity. The newly constructed temple complex spans over 36,000 sq. ft., with additional facilities like a banquet hall, temple hall, and parking space for 168 vehicles on a 15.85-acre site—built at an estimated cost of $13 million.
Addressing the devotees, Mahant Sadguru Shri Bhagwatpriyadasji Swami detailed the vision and scale of the project. On this occasion, His Holiness Acharya Swamishri Maharaj emphasized the temple’s mission in keeping with the divine message of Shikshapatri—to work for the well-being of all beings and to illuminate the world with love, peace, and the enduring flame of Indian culture.
