Night temperatures fall across Gujarat; Ahmedabad at 17.5°C, Kandla coldest at 10.4°C

Gandhinagar: After remaining on the higher side for nearly a week, minimum temperatures across Gujarat have started to fall since the weekend, bringing a mild winter chill back to several parts of the state. According to the IMD’s 8:30 am weather bulletin on Monday, a noticeable drop in night temperatures was recorded in many cities, while maximum temperatures stayed close to normal.
In Ahmedabad, the minimum temperature settled at 17.5°C, while the maximum stood at 30.6°C, slightly below normal. Vadodara recorded a minimum of 16.6°C, with a maximum of 31°C.
Kutch experienced some of the sharpest variations, as Kandla dipped 7.5°C below normal to 10.4°C, while Naliya recorded a minimum of 14.8°C. Bhuj reported 16.8°C, which is 1.8°C above normal.
Saurashtra also witnessed cooler nights. Rajkot’s minimum touched 16.2°C, marginally below normal, while in Bhavnagar the minimum was 18°C. Other coastal stations such as Porbandar (18°C) and Veraval (19.7°C) also reported slight departures from normal.
As usual, Okha recorded a minimum of 22.4°C, almost normal for the region. Similarly, Surat witnessed a minimum of 19.1°C.
Humidity levels varied widely across the state, with morning relative humidity touching 90% in Kandla and Rajkot, while remaining much lower in cities like Surat (55%). No rainfall was reported from any station during the period.
Weather officials said minimum temperatures are expected to decline further over the next few days as northerly winds strengthen, bringing a more pronounced winter feel across Gujarat. DeshGujarat
