Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will hold a foundation-laying ceremony for a new Mini Sports Complex, Swimming Pool, and Gymnasium in the East Zone’s Nikol Ward on Wednesday at 10:00 am.

According to AMC, the project, being developed at a cost of ₹33 crore, will bring a state-of-the-art sports and recreation facility to residents of the area. Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibhaben Jain will preside over the ceremony.

The proposed complex will include extensive landscaping along with multiple sports and leisure features such as pickleball courts, a tennis court, a utility building, a kids’ pool, a full-sized swimming pool, and a food court with outdoor seating.

The main building of the sports complex will house a multipurpose hall, table tennis area, gym, administrative room, medical room, juice bar, and percolation well, offering a comprehensive set of modern amenities for fitness and community activities.

Construction is expected to significantly enhance sports infrastructure and provide new recreational opportunities for residents of Nikol and surrounding areas. DeshGujarat
