Ankleshwar Airport to Be Operational by End of 2028: Gujarat Govt

Ankleshwar: The Gujarat government has informed the State Assembly that the under-construction airport at Ankleshwar is set to become operational by the end of 2028, while the first phase of development work has already been completed.
The information was provided in the Assembly in response to a question. Replying on behalf of the Civil Aviation Department, the Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi stated that the airport is planned to be operational by the end of 2028.
As per the reply, the first phase of work on about 82 hectares of land has been completed. This phase included the construction of a 2,200-metre runway along with allied works such as ground levelling, apron development, taxiway construction, and service road facilities.
The remaining development work is expected to be taken up in subsequent phases so that the airport can be made functional within the scheduled timeline. DeshGujarat
