Gulf flights partially resume from Ahmedabad Airport amid Iran conflict; several services still cancelled

Ahmedabad: Air traffic between India and West Asia has begun to gradually resume even as the conflict that started after the US and Israel air strikes on Iran entered its 11th day on Tuesday. Flight operations to several Gulf destinations had been disrupted after multiple countries closed their airspace, leading to a temporary suspension of services.
With the partial reopening of airspace in the region, a number of international flights to and from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport in Ahmedabad operated on Tuesday, bringing relief to passengers travelling to Gulf nations. However, several services to some destinations remained cancelled due to continuing uncertainty in the region.
According to the airport website, flights operated between Ahmedabad and major Gulf cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The flights that operated on Tuesday included a SpiceJet service to Dubai, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi flights to and from Abu Dhabi, Air Arabia flights to and from Sharjah, Etihad Airways flights to and from Abu Dhabi, Emirates flights to and from Dubai, and Flydubai services to and from Dubai.
Despite the partial resumption, multiple arrivals and departures were cancelled during the day. Among the cancelled arrivals were Etihad Airways flight EY-240 from Abu Dhabi scheduled at 18:20, Qatar Airways flight QR-534 from Doha scheduled at 02:10, and Kuwait Airways flight KU-345 from Kuwait City scheduled at 01:00.
Several departures from Ahmedabad were also cancelled, including IndiGo flight 6E-1431 to Abu Dhabi at 22:40, IndiGo flight 6E-1243 to Kuwait City at 21:20, Etihad Airways flight EY-241 to Abu Dhabi at 21:00, IndiGo flight 6E-075 to Jeddah at 15:25, Qatar Airways flight QR-535 to Doha at 03:50, IndiGo flight 6E-1477 to Dubai at 02:25, and Kuwait Airways flight KU-346 to Kuwait City at 02:00.
Flight schedules may continue to change depending on the situation in West Asia, and passengers have been advised to check with airlines before travelling. DeshGujarat
