Gandhinagar: Acting on the directions of the Central Government, the Gujarat Government has announced additional arrangements for the allocation and distribution of kerosene in rural areas of the state, alongside the continued use of LPG. The initiative is being implemented in coordination with Kerosene Dealer Associations and Oil Marketing Companies to ensure smooth supply and accessibility.

Under the new arrangement, a total of 1452 kilolitres of kerosene has been allocated to Gujarat. The state government has further distributed this allocation equally across districts, with 36 kilolitres assigned to each district. The supply is intended specifically for rural areas, where kerosene will be provided at the rate of 5 litres per family and 25 litres per institution. Authorities have stated that priority will be given to larger families and institutions while distributing the fuel, which is meant strictly for cooking and lighting purposes.

To streamline the process, the government has launched an online platform https://ipds.gujarat.gov.in/ developed by the National Informatics Centre for receiving applications related to kerosene allocation. The system has been operational since last Monday and is expected to make the distribution process more transparent and efficient.

In terms of logistics, two storage depots have been established in the state at Baroda and Palanpur to handle the supply. Additionally, a distribution mechanism has been put in place through selected petrol pumps, with one pump designated in each taluka. Officials said that kerosene distribution will commence in a district once a minimum demand of 12,000 litres, equivalent to one tanker load, is registered through the online system.

The price of kerosene has been fixed by the government taking into account transportation and other associated costs. It will be available to beneficiaries at rates ranging between Rs 61.40 and Rs 66.14 per litre. ગુજરાત સરકાર દ્વારા કેન્દ્ર સરકારની સૂચનાનુસાર રાજ્યના ગ્રામીણ વિસ્તારોમાં LPG ઉપરાંત કેરોસીનના વિતરણની વધારાની વ્યવસ્થા કેરોસીન ડીલર એસોસિયેશન તથા ઓઇલ માર્કેટિંગ કંપનીઓ સાથે ગોઠવવામાં આવેલ છે.

• કેરોસીન ફાળવણી: કેન્દ્ર સરકાર દ્વારા ગુજરાત રાજ્યને કુલ ૧૪૫૨ KL કેરોસીન ફાળવવામાં આવ્યું છે.
• જિલ્લાવાર વિતરણ: ગુજરાત સરકાર દ્વારા રાજ્યના તમામ જિલ્લાઓમાં ૩૬ KL કેરોસીનની ફાળવણી કરવામાં આવી છે.
• આ કેરોસીનનું વિતરણ ગ્રામીણ વિસ્તારોમાં કરવામાં આવશે જેમાં પરિવાર દીઠ ૫ લિટર તથા સંસ્થાઓ દીઠ ૨૫ લિટર વિતરણ કરવામાં આવશે. જે પૈકી મોટા પરિવારો તથા મોટી સંસ્થાઓને પ્રાથમિકતા આપવામાં આવશે.
• આ કેરોસીનનો ઉપયોગ ફક્ત રાંધવા માટે તેમજ પ્રકાશની વ્યવસ્થા કરવા માટે કરી શકાશે
• ઓનલાઈન પ્લેટફોર્મ: કેરોસીન ફાળવણી માટેની અરજીઓ સ્વીકારવા માટે NIC દ્વારા ખાસ ઓનલાઈન પ્લેટફોર્મ તૈયાર કરવામાં આવ્યું છે. જે ગત સોમવાર થી ચાલુમાં છે જેનું URL: https://ipds.gujarat.gov.in/ છે

વિતરણ વ્યવસ્થા અને સંગ્રહ:

• સ્ટોરેજ ડેપો: રાજ્યમાં કેરોસીન સંગ્રહ માટે બરોડા અને પાલનપુર ખાતે ૨ સ્ટોરેજ ડેપો નિયત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે.
• વિતરણ કેન્દ્રો: દરેક તાલુકામાં એક પેટ્રોલપંપ પરથી કેરોસીન વિતરણની વ્યવસ્થા ગોઠવવામાં આવી છે.
• જિલ્લા સ્તરે ઓછામાં ઓછા ૧૨૦૦૦ લિટર કેરોસીનની (૧ ટેન્કર લોડ) ઓનલાઈન માંગણી મળેથી તાત્કાલિક કેરોસીનનું વિતરણ દરેક તાલુકાના એક પેટ્રોલ પંપ પરથી કરવામાં આવશે.

ભાવ નિર્ધારણ:

• ટ્રાન્સપોર્ટ તથા બીજા ખર્ચને ધ્યાનમાં લઈને કેરોસીનની ભાવ બાંધણી કરવામાં આવેલ છે. જે પ્રતિ લીટર ૬૧.૪૦ થી ૬૬.૧૪ વચ્ચે નિયત કરેલ છે.
