Haryana to seek help of Baba Ramdev for promoting Yoga

The Haryana government will seek help of yoga guru Baba Ramdev to promote Yoga and Ayurveda in the state.
A delegation led by the state health minister Anil Vij will meet Baba Ramdev at his Maharshi Patanjali Yogpeeth Ashram in Haridwar on January 15 to hold discussions for promoting Yoga and Ayurveda in Haryana, state government today said.
“Today Yoga is recognised all over the world and Baba Ramdev has invaluable contribution in it,” Vij said in a release here.
Haryana government on January 12 announced to make Yoga compulsory in all schools and equip all sports stadiums in every district with a yoga centre.
It was announced that during zero hour period, yoga practice would be held in all schools and it would be treated as an integral part of the sports training programme in Haryana.
Vij further said, “Ayurveda is our traditional medical science which can even control the severest of disease.”
Several senior officials of Health department will be the part of the delegation, said the release.
