Surat: Continuous discharge from Ukai, the largest dam in South Gujarat, has caused the weir-cum-causeway on the Tapi River to overflow. Water is flowing at 7.90 meters at the causeway connecting Katargam and Rander, with the river running full bank to bank. The danger mark at the causeway is 7 meters. Bharuch: The outflow of water released from the Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam increased to over 1.36 lakh cusecs as of 1st August morning at 5 pm in river bed of Narmada. Additional 4190 cusecs outflow was also recorded in the canal.
