Modi for creating best cricket infrastructure in the state
Ahmedabad, 12 December, 2010
Chief Minister Narendra Modi attended prize ceremony function of The Central Board of Cricket Ahmedabad on Sunday.
Modi said the city of Ahmedabad gave three cricket players to international cricket in its eighty-year long period, and all three shined with their performance and contribution.
Modi emphasized on need to strengthen complete infrastructure of cricket and related resources in the state. He said how in cricket there are not only cricketers on ground, but there are also umpire, groundsmen, coach and others.
Modi today asked emerging cricketers to learn lessons from the life of late bowler Jashu Patel.
Gujarat Cricket Association’s Vice President Parimal Nathwani, The Central Board of Cricket Ahmedabad’s President Bharatbhai Zaveri were present in the function among others.
