It has been exactly a year after Surat was flooded. Today is the day when Surat was badly flooded last year (2006). But spirit of Surat is so fantastic that soon after a worst of the worst calamity; Surat raised, stood up and run towards even better path of continuous development again. Same had happened in this city when some years before epidemic of plague had shaken this city.

To salute the spirit of Surat, Mehul Surti a Surat based young musician had created a Gujarati song showcasing Surti people’s spirit of returning back to the normal life after calamity. This song was largely released at the movie theatres of Surat. Lyrics by Dr. Mukul Choksi says: “Let’s again start smiling, Let’s again start living on the bank of river Tapi(with the smile)”. Aman Lekhadiya is a singer of this song.

And this is another part of the song in continuation of the first part.This part of the song says “Look,we have again started smiling and has started living on the bank of river Tapi”.
