With Photos: Boating at Sabarmati river front receives good response

According to details obtained from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, the city’s Sabarmati river front boat rides attracted 668 takers on 16 August, 770 on 17 August, 1346 on 18 August, 2285 on 19 August and 1824 riders on 20 August by 6.00 pm.
Boating service was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on the evening of 15th August (watch the video above).
There are around two dozen boats at present available for visitors including speed boats and motor boats. The AMC plans to start a floating bus service within a couple of months. The bus will move on the road and also float in the river. Process to procure such a bus from abroad is going on at present.
