Ambitious SAUNI project to connect 115 dams of Saurashtra region of Gujarat kicked off by former Chief Minister Narendra Modi is in action.

Pipeline laying work connecting Machhu(1) to Aaji(3) and Aaji(3) to Und is going on at present on war foot basis.

Survey work to lay 2.75 diameter pipeline connecting Machhu(1) and Aaji(1) will start from next month which will follow by pipeline laying work on this route.

Once, the pipeline laying work is over, the irrigation department will start filling Aaji(1) with Narmada water.

All works are going on speedily to ensure proper water supply to Rajkot city in next summer.
