CM to dedicate drinking/irrigation water supply projects in north Gujarat

Gujarat Water Supply Board has planned Rs. 110 crore Dantiwada dam oriented water supply scheme for pure and regular water supply to Border Security Force(BSF) jawans guarding Banaskantha border of North Gujarat with Pakistan.

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel will dedicate a pipeline of this project on April 10 at Dantiwada.

To implement this project, 250 mm pipeline has been laid between Benap headworks and Suigam headwowks. This will provide additional water supply to BSF campus in Suigam.

This pipeline will also supply drinking water to about 2,92,264 people from 87 villages and 36 other areas. This includes 32 villages of Deesa taluka, 30 villages of Dantiwada taluka, 24 villages of Palanpur taluka and 1 village of Amirgadh taluka.

Chief Minister will also dedicate a 79 km long 300 cusec capacity pipeline which will provide irrigation cover to 9,000 hectare area of 6 talukas. 49 water bodies(talav) of Kankrej, Deesa and Dantiwada talukas will be interconnected through this pipeline.

Banaskantha MP and MoS Home in centre Shri Haribhai Chaudhary, MoS Water supply Shri Vijay Rupani, Ministers Ramanbhai Vora, Shankarbhai Chaudhary and Jayeshbhai Radadia will attend the function.
