GSRTC suspends operation at Botad ST bus station

All bus operations at Botad State Transport(ST) bus station have been stopped at present for next 48 hours. Situation will be reviewed after 48 hours to take further decision.
The decision has been taken after two ST buses torched in past two in Botad belt days by unidentified persons possibly belonging to Patidar agitation.
28 buses are parked at Botad ST bus station under police protection. 154 trips have been canceled.
Meanwhile, night halts of ST buses are canceled in some Patidar populated areas of Surat, Ahmedabad and other sensitive places following growing incident of attacks on ST buses. Even routes have been diverted in some cases.
