Will make best efforts to deliver well with the new responsibility:Nitin Patel

Gandhinagar: Designated Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, who was termed as the hot favourite for the CM’s post as Mrs Anandiben successor till last minute, today said that he would make best of his efforts to deliver well for the new responsibility given to him.
Mr. Patel who ended up as Deputy Chief Minister was earlier termed as the most probable candidate for the Chief Minister post.
After Vijay Rupani told media persons two days back that he was not in race to become CM and he would continue to look after organization only, Nitinbhai was constantly in media limelight and had today even given interviews to many of the media organizations replying questions supposing that he would be at the helm of affairs in the state soon. Firecrackers were busted in his constituency Mahesana and home town Kadi in anticipation even when the meeting of the legislature party was going on.
Later Nitin Patel told media persons that the media came to him for interviews and he obliged but he himself did not call any one to come to him.
‘It is right that I replied to your queries but I did not call you to come,’ he said.
To a query as to whether he had received any call regarding his appointment as Chief Minister, he said, ‘ no comments.’
