Another arrest in Ahmedabad for fire cracker bursting during non-permissible hours prescribed by Supreme Court

Ahmedabad: In yet another case of arrest for bursting fire-crackers late-night defying the notification of police commissioner, a youth was nabbed by police in Ramol area of the city late last night, police said today.
Jeetu Panchal (27), a resident of Vastral was bursting crackers near Ratanpura Shivalik Bungalows at around 1130pm. The police patrol team saw him and arrested immediately. He was however released on bail this morning.
Notably, on November 4 alsoIn first case of arrest after the recent Supreme Court directive to not to burst firecrackers after 10 pm in the night and the related notification, police had arrested two people in Amraiwadi area of the city for doing so after mid-night. They were also released on bail.
In the night of Dhanteras, which is observed two days before Diwali, firecrackers continued to burst till late night in many areas of the city despite the court ban and notification which intend to curb the pollution.
