Ashaben has betrayed both the Congress party and the people: Amit Chavda
February 08, 2019
Ahmedabad: Gujarat Congress President Amit Chavda today alleged that ex-party MLA Ashaben Patel who joined BJP today has betrayed both the party and the people of her constituency.
Chavda, differences with whom was understood to be the main reason for Patel’s resignation from the main opposition party as well as the Unjha assembly seat, a patidar bastion, today told newsmen that she has betrayed both the party and the people.
Notably, Congress was trying hard to win her back to the party fold despite her sudden resignation on February 2 after which she had categorically alleged factionalism in the party to be responsible for her taking this step.
Chavda said that BJP was now trying to remain in power in Gujarat and win the next LS polls on the basis of this kind of breaking-ups after losing the support of the people due to its misrule.
