Gujarat ATS brings 2 from Hyderabad for questioning in ISKP terror module case

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has brought two people from Hyderabad and is currently questioning them for their alleged contact with a woman based in Surat who was arrested in connection with an ISKP module case, according to an official statement on Thursday.

A senior ATS official stated that a man and a woman have been brought from the capital of Telangana, emphasizing that they have not been detained or arrested in the case as of yet.

Sources indicate that both individuals are undergoing thorough questioning as they were allegedly in contact with Sumerabanu Malek, the Surat-based woman who was among the five individuals previously arrested in the Islamic State of Khorasan Province (ISKP) module case.

On June 9, the ATS announced the dismantling of a terror module and the arrest of three men and Malek for their alleged involvement with ISKP, a transnational Salafi-Jihadist organization designated as a terrorist organization by the United Nations.

The fifth suspect, Zubair Ahmed Munshi, a resident of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, was arrested on June 12 by the ATS.

An FIR was filed against all five individuals under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). DeshGujarat
