Gujarat ATS nab four from Bhuj in ISI spy network case

Bhuj: The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has nabbed four individuals from Bhuj with alleged connections to the ISI espionage case accused Nilesh Baliya (contractual employee working with CPWD). These individuals are currently being interrogated regarding their involvement in the espionage case. Investigators suspect the existence of additional persons involved in the espionage network, leading to the deployment of teams to various locations along the Pakistan border.

Furthermore, police sources have confirmed that a woman, educated in the UK, who provided computer training to Baliya, is under investigation, along with another individual. The woman went with a fake name ‘Aditi’ and is believed to be an intelligence operative from Pakistan. Police allege that Aditi lured Baliya into sharing sensitive information about BSF operations and Border Out Posts (BOP).

Evidence shows that Baliya received a payment of Rs 28,800, which has been traced through seven to eight accounts via Paytm. Adding complexity to the case, an executive from a private company, acquainted with Aditi, allegedly facilitated the payment to Baliya. The implicated phone has been handed over to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for examination. The FSL has successfully recovered some chat logs between Aditi, Baliya, and the four recently detained individuals. According to the police, Aditi’s role also involved relaying this sensitive information to her handler, Ajaz, who is associated with the Pakistani intelligence agency, ISI. DeshGujarat
