Shri Sanatana Dharma Sanrakshan Mukhya Committee’ formed at Junagadh Sant Samelan

Junagadh: Several weeks after the religious convention in Limbdi, Surendranagar, which was organized in response to the controversial murals at the Salangpur temple (now removed)by Swaminarayan sect, another convention of Sadhu Saints was convened at the Gaurakshanath Ashram in Bhavnath, Junagadh. This gathering witnessed the participation of over 200 sadhus and saints from across Gujarat. During the convention, the ‘Shri Sanatana Dharma Sanrakshan Mukhya Committee’ was established by the Sadhu Saints, with the appointment of the Shankaracharya of Dwarka-Shardapith as its chairman.

Notably, various committees, including the Reservation Committee for Sanatana Dharma, were formed during this convention. More than 200 sadhus and saints from all over Gujarat, as well as representatives from the Khodaldham, attended the Sant Sammelan. Even artist Mayabhai Ahir attended the event. The committee has identified 40 sadhus and saints as members of the Sri Sanatan Dharma Protection Main Committee, including representatives from all 13 regions.

Chaitanya Shambhu Maharaj, who attended the Sant Sammelan, spoke to the media, saying, “There is a growing trend in India to undermine our Sanatana Dharma. A meeting of saints was held in Limdi on the Sept 5th, during which various agreements were reached. Following the suggestions of monks and saints, a decision was  made to form a committee.

The Shri Sanatana Dharma Sanrakshan Mukhya Committee comprises 15 distinguished Kathakars and saints, including Rameshbhai Ojha, Kankeshwari Mataji, Chaitanya Shambhu Maharaj, Bhagwat Rishi, Nijanandji Maharaj, Doctor Gaurang, Sharad Vyas, Ramcharan Maharaj, and Yadunathji Maharaj. Morari Bapu’s name will also be added with his permission.

Additionally, the Junagadh-Media Committee announced 10 members, including Akhileshdasji Maharaj (Devnath Bapu-Kutch), Jyotirnath Maharaj (Ashutoshagiri Maharaj-Bhimnath), Rishibharti Bapu, Vijaydas Bapu (Dakor), Jagdevdas Bapu, Harshad Bharti Bapu, and Rokadia Bapu. A Law Committee was formed by the Junagadh-Sant Committee, appointing eight members, including Vijay Patel, former MP, RR Tripathi (Retired Judge), Dilip Trivedi, Dr. Vasant Patel, Dr. Vijay Desani (former Vice-Chancellor), Dr. Kaushik Chaudhary, Kamal Rawal, and Omprakash Sankhla.
