ACB Gujarat nabs another Talati-Mantri in bribery case in Olpad

Surat: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed a Talati-Mantri of Bhandut Gram Panchayat in Olpad taluka in a bribery case involving a sum of Rs. 4,000.
According to the details of the case, the complainant in this instance owned land in Bhandut Village, Olpad. In exchange for transferring the name on the property tax bill of the house situated on the land, the accused, Hitendrakumar Parmar, working as Talati-Mantri (Class 3), demanded a bribe of Rs. 11,000. After negotiations, the bribe amount was reduced to Rs. 4,000.
As the complainant did not wish to pay the bribe, he contacted the ACB. In a trap set up by the ACB, the accused was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe of Rs. 4,000. The accused has been detained by the ACB, and further action is being taken. DeshGujarat
