Extended Taxi Way of Ahmedabad Airport opened

Ahmedabad: SVPI airport in Ahmedabad has completed the works on a 395-meter parallel taxiway extension to improve the airport’s operational efficiency. This extension will reduce wait times for takeoffs and landings.
Take off and landing of 25 flights per hour will be possible instead of 20 previously. The runway of the airport is 3505 m long while the taxiway is 1500 m long. It has been now extended to 1895 m. The extension works are completed in 3 months period. The ultimate aim is to extend this taxiway further and achieve a 3305 m length. DeshGujarat
