April 02, 2024
Ahmedabad: Intelligent cleaning robots have been deployed at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport in the city. These robots have been deployed to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the terminals and forecourts, particularly in high-traffic areas.
The Airport management has deployed four such technologically advanced robots at Terminals 1 and 2. These robots are entirely made in India, providing 360-degree coverage for thorough corner-to-corner cleaning. Equipped with advanced sensors, the robots can easily navigate around obstacles to ensure passenger convenience. Their obstacle detection and rerouting capabilities allow them to adapt to dynamic environments efficiently.
These cleaning robots have the capacity to cover 13,000 square feet every hour. They work continuously for 8 hours on a single charge and require only 6 hours to recharge. Capable of handling all cleaning tasks, including scrubbing, drying, and mopping, they demonstrate remarkable efficiency. Additionally, for added convenience, they can be controlled remotely via smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity. DeshGujarat
