Meeting between BJP & Kshatriya organizations remains inconclusive
April 03, 2024
Ahmedabad: The meeting between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s Kshatriya leaders and the leaders of the Kshatriya organizations turned out to be inconclusive, as the Kshatriya community is unwilling to forgive Rupala. The Kshatriya community stood firm on the demand to cancel Union Minister Parshottam Rupala’s ticket as Rajkot Lok Sabha candidate.
The meeting between BJP leaders and Kshatriya Samaj leaders lasted for two hours. After the meeting between the Kshatriya Samaj and BJP leaders, representatives from both parties held a press conference. BJP leader Bhupendrasinh Chudasma said, “We have presented our case before the core committee. Rupala has apologised three times. The state president has also apologised.”
However, the Kshatriya Samaj insisted that Parasottam Rupala’s ticket must be canceled. If the ticket is not cancelled, they will file independent candidatures. The leader of the Kshatriya Samaj Coordination Committee, Ramjubha Jadeja, stated, “The government has attempted to disregard our concerns about culture. We demand nothing less than the cancellation of the ticket. Our future plans will remain unchanged.” DeshGujarat
