Rajkot: Gujarat government has transferred the Municipal Commissioner of Rajkot Anand Babulal Patel to General Administration department. Anand Patel is Indian Administrative Service(IAS) officer of year 2010 batch. He has been transferred in the wake of the TRP game zone fire tragedy in which over 27 persons are dead.

Anand Patel is replaced with DP Desai, a year 2008 batch IAS officer who is presently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority(AUDA) and also holds the additional charge of the post of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority(GUDA).

Additional charge of these posts of AUDA and GUDA is now assigned to Bhavya Verma, year 2016 batch IAS officer who is Mission Director of Swachh Bharat Mission(Urban), Gandhinagar. DeshGujarat
