Rajkot TRP game zone fire tragedy; Police complaint against six filed

Rajkot: Rajkot Police Commissioner Raju Bhargav today told media persons that a complaint has been filed in Rajkot Taluka Police station in TRP game zone fire tragedy case. Bhargav said, six accused are booked under IPC sections 304, 308, 337, 338 and 114. He said, all partners in partnership deed are booked in this complaint.
Bhargav said Yuvraj Solanki, who would administer this game zone and his aide Nitin Jain are arrested. Four teams of city Crime Branch are in search of the other four accused. The accused named in FIR are Dhaval Corporation’s Properitor Dhaval Bharatbhai Thakkar and Race Way enterprise’s partners Ashoksinh Jagdishshin Jadeja, Kiritsinh Jagdishsinh Jadeja, Prakashchandra Kanaiyalal Hiran, Yuvrajsinh Harisinh Solanki and Rahul Lalitbhai Rathod.
Bhargav said probe has been handed over to Crime Branch. He said Joint Additional CP Vidhi Chaudhary led Special Investigation Team (SIT) with two DCPs as members is probing into this case.
He said the police is working for speedy filing of charge sheet in this case. Appointment of Special Public Prosecutor has been sought in communication to the State government. He also said that FSL team has come from Gandhinagar is in Rajkot to assist the police team.
In reply to media queries, Bhargav said that the gaming zone was given license to operate by Police in November 2023, and it was further renewed for period upto 31 December 2024.
In other development, the Gujarat High Court has taken suo motu cognizance of fire tragedy incident.
