AMC Opens Pandit Deendayal Halls for Besna and Prayer Meetings

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has announced that two key banquet and conference halls at the Pandit Deendayal Auditorium in Bodakdev will now be available on rent for prayer meetings and condolence sittings (besna).
Banquet/Conference Hall-1 and Banquet/Conference Hall-2 located in Pandit Deendayal Auditorium in Bodakdev ward of North-West Zone will now be made available for rent for organizing prayer meetings and sittings. Till now this hall was mainly used for various cultural and public programs, but now this new facility has been started keeping in mind the needs of the citizens.
According to AMC, this decision has been taken to ensure that the citizens of Bodakdev and surrounding areas get a suitable place for prayer meetings. Accordingly, permission has been given to the public to allocate both the banquet/conference hall for prayer meetings and sittings under the prescribed terms and conditions.
It is worth mentioning here that the area of Banquet/Conference Hall-1 is 981 square meters and approximately 382 people can sit in it. The rent for this hall for the first shift (8:00 am to 2:00 pm) has been fixed at Rs. 20,000 and a deposit of Rs. 50,000 from Monday to Sunday. While the rent for the second shift (3:00 pm to 10:00 pm) will be Rs. 25,000 and a deposit of Rs. 50,000.
Similarly, the area of Banquet/Conference Hall-2 is 354 sq m and its seating capacity is 190 persons. The rent for this hall for the first shift is Rs. 10,000 and the rent for the second shift is Rs. 12,500. A deposit of Rs. 25,000 has been kept for both the shifts.
AMC has said that for booking the hall and for more information, citizens can contact the nearest AMC City Civic Center or can also avail the online booking facility through the website of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. With this decision, the citizens of Bodakdev and surrounding areas will be provided with a suitable, well-organized and modern place for prayer meetings and sittings. DeshGujarat
