Gujarat relaxes use of loudspeaker between 10 pm -12 midnight during 10 nights of Navratri

Gandhinagar: The State Home Department has issued a notice for the use of loudspeaker public address speaker system during relaxation from 10 p.m. to 12 p.m. midnight during this year’s Navaratri Festival from October 1 to 10, 2016.
As per the Noise Pollution Regulation and Control Rules 2000, loudspeaker can be used for festivals and religious functions from 10 p.m. to 12 p.m. for 14 days during the year 2016, which include nine days of Navratri.
This notification has been issued to all police commissioners, district collectors and superintendent of police in the state.
