Gujarat govt nod for Rs 178.37 crore lift water scheme for Arvalli district

Modasa: The state government has approved the scheme worth Rs 178.37 crore for Aravalli district under which water will be lifted from Vatrak dam for supply to 73 villages of Malpur, Modasa and Meghraj.
It is learnt that the water will be lifted at a 10 km distance from the left bank of Vatrak dam upstream areas. The water will be supplied to a total 35 lakes in the right bank including 27 of Malpur taluka, 1 of Meghraj and 7 of Modasa.
The water will be supplied to 38 lakes of the left bank including 13 of Malpur, and 25 of Meghraj. The irrigation water will be supplied to around 2200 hectares of land. A pumping station will be built at Vatrak dam to lift the water. DeshGujarat
