Surat trust transforms bus into portable school for underprivileged children

Surat: In a unique initiative aimed at providing education to underprivileged children living on the streets, a group in Surat has converted a bus into a portable school.
The Divya Path- Manavta ni Mahek Trust, located in the Adajan area of the city, has transformed the bus into a mobile classroom equipped with benches, carpets, a television, lights, a fan, and internet connectivity. The bus, named Pramukh Swami Smruti Vidya Mandir, will be used to teach 32 children who reside on the footpaths. The classes will be held on the bus for three hours daily.
The Education Minister of the state will inaugurate the service on May 14th. The trust has also stated that if this pilot bus is successful, they will deploy more buses in the nine zones of the city. DeshGujarat
