Shahibaug Railway overbridge closed for traffic till June 14
June 02, 2023
Shahibaug: The Idgah railway overbridge in Shahibaug has been temporarily closed to traffic for maintenance purposes by the Western Railway for a period of 15 days.
The bridge, which connects Idgah and Girdhar Nagar, had a concrete weight that had become excessively heavy, posing a risk of concrete pieces falling onto passing trains.
After conducting an investigation, the increased weight was found to be caused by the installation of concrete and metal railings on the bridge. In order to address this weight issue, engineers have made the decision to remove these railings. As a result, the city police commissioner has issued a notification about the closure of the bridge until June 14. DeshGujarat
