ACB Gujarat nabs RTO Inspector in bribe case

Palanpur: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has nabbed Ankit Panchal, RTO Inspector working at RTO office in Palanpur along with a middleman Bharat Patel in bribe case today.
A complainant in this case works in the office of an auto advisor and often visits the RTO office for change in names for the vehicles of his clients and other works.
According to ACB, accused RTO Inspector Ankit Panchal asked complainant to give Rs. 11,700/- to his middleman Bharat Patel for payment of some bill, but the complainant was not paying the money of the bill, and so the accused RTO officer stopped the progress of files of complainant for last three days.
A complainant was told that the work on his files will resume only after bills are paid as a bribe. As the complainant did not want to give the bribe money, he contacted the ACB and filed a complaint. Today a bribe trap was set. During the trap, accused middleman was held red-handed for receiving bribe. He had also talked over mobile phone with accused RTO inspector regarding this.
