Fake school leaving certificate for passport: case against one in Vadodara

Vadodara: The crime branch has registered a case against an individual who submitted a fake school leaving certificate while applying for a passport at the city’s passport office. The authorities are currently searching for the accused.
On August 26, 2021, Anishali Ojedali Sheikh, residing near Gama Manzil in the Yakutpura area and originally hailing from Hoogly, West Bengal, applied to the Regional Passport Office for a passport. At that time, Anishali Sheikh was provided with the appointment date of September 6, 2021, which was documented in the application. The School Leaving Certificate presented in the application was from Madrasah Ashra-Ful-Olum Urdu Primary School, Howrah, West Bengal.
On March 11, 2022, the Assistant Passport Officer at the Ahmedabad Regional Passport Office wrote to the Vadodara City Police Commissioner to verify the Leaving certificate. The city police commissioner authenticated the documentary evidence through the PI of the city police station. It was learned that applicant Anishali Sheikh had presented a fake school leaving certificate for the passport application.
During the investigation, it was found that Anishali, through his friends Ramzan Ansari and Pathan Abdul Arshad Abdul Ahad, had obtained this fake school leaving certificate. They sent the certificate from Madrasah Ashr-ful-Olum Urdu Primary School while also fabricating the date of birth in the document. The crime branch is actively searching for the accused.
