Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat BJP Chief, Gujarat BJP General Secretary (Organization), Balwantsinh Rajput, Kesridevsinh Jhala, IK Jadeja, Bhupendrasinh Jadeja, Mahendrasinh and other Kshatriya leaders of party held a meeting for about three hours to discuss the protests by Kshatriya organizations. The meeting was held at Gujarat BJP Chief CR Patil’s residence in Gandhinagar.
Gujarat BJP Chief Patil said that BJP leaders will hold a meeting with 92 members of the Coordination committee of Kshatriya organizations at 3 PM tomorrow, possibly at Gota.
Patil while briefing the media persons, apologized with a folded hand and appealed to Kshatriya community members to calm down and end their anger. He said the community has been supporting BJP for the last many years. He said the party will do efforts for a speedy solution to this issue. He said
Patil admitted that even after multiple apologies by Parshottam Rupala, there was anger among members of the Kshatriya community which is understandable as there had been a remark on them. But now as Rupala has apologized, the community members should with a large heart be forgiven.
Party leaders will contact the leaders of the Kshatriya community and responsibilities for the same are assigned to various leaders, Patil said.
It’s worth noting that Rupala had in his remark in one of the functions last month said the Maharajas in Ghulami period had Roti-Beti relations with oppressors of other faith. Rupala later apologized twice but various Kshatriya community outfits are demanding that BJP must change the candidate and replace Rupala with someone else on Rajkot Lok Sabha seat. DeshGujarat
