School teacher suspended for beating Class 9 student in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A senior teacher at Tripada School in the Ghatlodia area was suspended on Tuesday after allegedly slapping a Class 9 student during a lecture, triggering protests by the student’s parents.
According to information, the incident took place during an English class when the teacher, Nishanand, reportedly became irritated by the sound made by the student while using a whitener. The teacher allegedly asked the student to stand, took him aside, and slapped him multiple times, leaving the student distressed.
After being informed, the student’s parents rushed to the school and demanded strict action against the teacher, including a public apology. The school management reviewed CCTV footage of the classroom in the presence of the parents, which reportedly confirmed the incident.
Following the verification, the management suspended the teacher with immediate effect. School administrator Archit Bhatt said the complaint was treated seriously and investigated promptly, and as the teacher was unable to provide a proper explanation for his actions, he was suspended. DeshGujarat
