March 11, 2026
Ahmedabad: A fire broke out in the parking area of the Mangaldip Capital building near Science City on Wednesday, causing substantial damage to several parked vehicles.
After receiving an emergency call, the Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services rushed two fire engines to the spot. Firefighters immediately began operations and used water cannons to control the blaze, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the building.
The exact cause of the fire is not yet known. Officials are investigating whether the incident was triggered by extreme heat or a technical fault in one of the vehicles. The incident comes close on the heels of a similar case reported recently from the Thaltej area, where a car caught fire, raising concerns over vehicle safety amid the ongoing heatwave.
Fire brigade teams remained at the site to carry out a final inspection and ensure that all safety protocols were followed. Further details are awaited pending the official investigation. DeshGujarat
