A4 Paper Norms in Gujarat District Courts to Take Effect from August 2026
April 17, 2026
Ahmedabad: The Gujarat High Court has once again deferred the deadline for the mandatory use of A4-sized paper across all district courts. As per a fresh circular, the requirement to adopt standardised A4 paper for legal documentation will now take effect from August 1, 2026.
The notification replaces earlier circulars issued in late 2025 and makes it clear that no further extensions will be granted beyond this revised timeline.
Anil Kella, a senior member of the Bar Council of Gujarat, welcomed the decision, noting that many advocates were not fully prepared for such a systemic shift in documentation practices. He said the extension would give them adequate time to upgrade their offices in line with the new formatting and printing norms. DeshGujarat
