Gujarat Budget:PPP development of Chhara, Dahej ports, modernisation at Alang-Sosiyo

Finance Minister Saurabh Patel in his budget speech today said that the state government is expecting Rs. 3200 crore investment for PPP development of Chhara and Dahej port.
“Government of Gujarat has successfully implemented the policy of Port-led Development. Moving ahead on these lines, an investment of Rs 3200 crore is expected on the basis of PPP at Chhara Port and Dahej Port,” Patel said.
“Under the proposed Japan International Co-operation Agency Project, a provision of Rs 14.76 crore for modernisation of Alang-Sosiyo Ship Recycling Yard, Environmental improvement and welfare programmes for workers,” he further said speaking on port department’s proposals in anual budget.
