Ahmedabad: A part of the staircase in Vardhman Flats near Mahalakshmi Char Rasta in the Paldi area of the city collapsed late Tuesday night. The fire department arrived at the scene, and 16 individuals were rescued with the help of a hydraulic platform. Ahmedabad: The newly constructed Paldi Jalaram Mandir railway underpass, inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday, was closed for traffic movement. The underpass, built for Rs. 82 crores near Jalaram Mandir in the Paldi area of the city, is expected to remain shut for 15 days.
