Sabarmati: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) run SVP Hospital has started reducing the infrastructure and cutting staff from covid-19 hospital considering the drop in covid-19 cases.

The job contractors have dismissed 500 paramedics and allied medical staff and asked 150 out of the total 480 housekeeping staff to leave the job, in the past two weeks. The hospital is also reducing the beds. The paramedics and housekeeping staff were recruited on contractual basis via recruitment agency by the hospital during April, May and June when Covid-19 cases were high.
